Woody came for a visit

There have been two Great spotted woodpeckers around for the last few weeks , occasionally popping into the garden together but today it was just the female. She’s not scared away so easily as the male so managed a few quick shots although she did not stop moving as she hopped down the tree trunk.
A dismal, rainy day but there was glimpses of the sun during the showers and I stayed dry walking to Brownies.
A good , noisy, session with some great planning and ideas from the girls.Lots would like to do baking and science so we can combine the two quite easily. A couple wanted to taste foods from around the world so ideal with Burns Night and Chinese New Year coming up.
We are also going to make a recipe book to raise some funds so if any of you have one of your favourites we would love to add it , especially if you were in Girl Guiding or a Scout :)
