Yaverland Beach and Culver Cliff

I had intended to stay in and get some work done but the sun came out and although there was a stiff breeze from the North,Yaverland beach was sheltered enough for a low tide walk towards Culver Cliff.

This beach is a favorite site for fossil hunters who search along the bottom of the cliffs after one of the many land slips. The low tide in this picture has revealed the hard limestone blocks resembling a pavement. In the distance is the chalk face of Culver Cliff.

After a chilly hour of walking and photography I was ready for a hot chocolate in the beachside cafe.
