Peterhead Prison

Another dreich start to the day and as we planned to visit Peterhead Prison Museum there was a strong possibility that it would become even grimmer!

Our visitors were not deterred in any way from ‘doing some time’ in Scotland’s most notorious jail.

There was a definite chill in the air when we walked through the prison gates into D Block and stepped into the cells. The stories that are told via the headsets as you walk through the prison add to the drama and make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
