New boiler

For the first time since November I am going to have a shower in my own bathroom. 

The boiler was decommissioned in early November, since then I have been showering at work and boiling the kettle to wash the dishes. It was no worse than your grandparents dealt with in the era of baxi boilers and coal burning ranges. But it has been hard going home to a cold flat and putting on layers and layers before going to bed, including wearing a hat to sleep in. 

Today a very nice young man. A very, very nice young man, commissioned my new boiler, tidied up his tools and left me to a warm flat with hot water in the tap. 

I am going to have a shower, as a kind of ribbon cutting ceremony.
