Aide memoire

I heard a song on the radio that reminded me of some obscure Japanese new wave music cassette a girlfriend gave me in the early 80s. I thought this may have sampled it - but alas not.
I’ve searched for it on the internet over the years when the whim takes me - but without success.
Maybe one day I’ll remember the name of the artist. That’d be a big help!
