White Line Railroad I

We took a fine ride on the "White Line" railroad--an amazing accomplishment during the Yukon gold rush.  It was quite a feat to move men, equipment and gold between the nearest city and the gold fields, until this railroad was built through mountain wilderness.  It seemed an impossible task but due to a depressed economy, tens of thousands of men joined in to work on this narrow-gauge railroad.  Now it is used strictly for tourism.
