The Four Season Landscape

by Susan A. Roth helped us choose trees, plants, and shrubs for year-round color. We also selected several to attract birds.

Currently in the dead of winter, the red witchhazel continues to bloom full steam ahead. The ‘Firefly’ heather is deep crimson, the pieres japonica has pink buds, and the old hollies are full of red berries.

“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” Albert Camus

I really didn’t want to do a collage or blip the red witchhazel again. The vibrant winter flowers against the snow won me over. Thanks to Anni/BikerBear for hosting.

Happy weekend!
