The bird watcher at Snells Beach

A full on family day. Went to Scott Landing with daughter J before breakfast for a swim. Returned and finished making and served the Grandpa special porridge. Mid morning Young L and I went down the steps to Southend, and then waded through the outgoing tide to find the Kuaka (godwits). He borrowed my camera to take a few photos but with the biggest lens on, it was a bit cumbersome for him. My blip shows him using his rather old iPhone camera.

Later, most of us went to Scott Landing again, this time at nearly full high tide. Then back to finish the preparation afor and cooking of a feast. Eaten on the deck as the evening slowly closed in.
