Three generations

Carol in Santa hat, flanked by her granddaughter and daughter.

A happy-sad occasion. This is likely to be Carol's last Christmas, since she is 84 and already in hospice care. Her family went all out to set a beautiful table and prepare a scrumptious feast (check out that cake, rich chocolate with cherry filling! and a fabulous roast lamb), and she didn't have to lift a finger. She gave away some of her wonderful paintings as Christmas gifts, and I received one showing Portland's famous Steel Bridge. I've been taking painting classes with Carol for decades, as well as sharing a water aerobics class.  She is sweet, talented, generous, and beautiful. May all her days be filled with love and joy.

Backblipped 19 January 2019.
