Cardinal in the snow

Today was a cold windy snowy day. We were on the edge of a major winter storm hitting New York state. I went out for a walk around the lunch hour at first not see many birds but later I had several cardinals and blue jays looking for peanuts. In this shot the cardinal is waiting for me to throw a peanut. I have added a shot of me out in the snow in the extra shots. It was -13C at the time with a wind chill of -21C
