A Christmas Rose

As some of you know. I work on the Dementia unit of a nursing home. By virtue of the hospital like setting it can appear to be pretty institutional at first glance , but it's the little things that turn this from a that type of environment to a home for the wonderful people who live here.
Things like sing alongs, or a visiting puppy, or family who no matter how busy they are, never forget about their loved ones who live here ... And tonight , a single white rose, with just enough pine to make it festive .. That rated a few, "Oh isn't that Lively" 's , and an extra smoke that might not have been there other wise :-)

It is true... There really are no "Little Things", because to someone it's a Big thing..
