Quiet weather.

This morning from the front bedroom window there appeared a beautiful sunrise. I rushed downstairs to get my camera.
Not long afterwards the colours disappeared and the light mist began to form again.
The main photo is taken from the loft bedroom.
The white drifting steam from the bungalow opposite rising slowly into the  stillness of the cold air.
The general aspect turning to the muted greys and browns of mid January.
We arrived home from church having remarked on how many different nationalities there are among those present.
I had a conversation with a young couple who had come to England to work in Birmingham from Costa Rica, 3 months ago.
They were both French speaking interestingly enough.
       But with impeccable English.
Another French couple were sitting just behind us and had met the others in church last week. We had a conversation.
The two young ladies who were in front of us were taking a Post Graduate course in Law. One had come from Malaysia specially. The other one was from Sri Lanka.
I like the mix of older people, (of whom I am now one, in my 3 score years and 10!)  with younger adults and students, there is always a lot we can learn from people of other backgrounds and cultures.
It is now post lunch and the usual Sunday somnolence has descended!
Once again we are hearing predictions about snow which may or may not arrive.
Looking outside it is as if the quiet weather is waiting too.
   Sunrise photo in extras.
