Pretty holy

I actually posted yesterday but something seems to have happened to the original! We're both struck a bit low - Himself with dizziness and a dodgy ear, and me with a sinusy headache but when  a man inquired whether I would like to see his well (!) which he thought might be holy, we both managed to stagger out to inspect it. The well lay deep in the Mealagh Valley, through a fairly recently planted woodland and was tucked into a slope, It certainly looked pretty holy - hard to get too, remote, stone well house, kneeling slab in front, flowing water full of minerals (iron?) but there are no written records about it. I have since found it marked on some historic OS maps but simply as Well. The jury is still out.
On our way back we went to have a quick look at St Bartholomew's Well. Last time I'd visited it it had just been a a grassy hump in a field but today the field was cleared and the well tidied up, plus there was a rainbow! Good to see. All of it.
