Room With A Curtain

Derelict Sunday. Marlieske.

While walking the streets of Braga, we will see many old places that have not been maintained. For all the traditional reasons.
And for every one of those, there are at least a hundred that have been wonderfully "redone". This will hit the redo list in time.
These stones walls, hundreds of years old, do not die easily and they can provide a rock solid start towards another future life.

The colorful curtain in the back, may have hid treasures or groceries, and is the only life left to the room. We always wonder what these places looked like before the incredibly passive Carnation Revolution. An April 1974 military coup in Lisbon which overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo regime. Regardless, Portugal has rocketed to a different place since those hard times before 1974. And this old house will hopefully be standing tall and beautiful again, long before 2074.
