Evening Tea

Down to London, after work for Afternoon Tea at the Ritz - only we were on the train for a big chunk of the afternoon and the Ritz are happy to keep wheeling out the tiny, crustless sandwiches and beautiful wee cakes until the early evening. A good result for those of us with limited holiday left between now and the end of the Tax Year. The Tea (and hotel) were a birthday gift from Beck's brother and sister so we duly donned suit and tie (well. only me) and had fine old time. It's pure theatre too, very entertaining - and it's surprising how full you can get eating just those dainty. little cakes if they keep on bringing you more of them...!
