Up above Broughton

Feeling strong enough to go out with  the second slowest group of the Tuesday run crowd , the slowest group didn't turn up. Perhaps they were worried about the snow but as you can see, by mid morning there was snow only on the top of the very furthest hills.  Here my walking colleagues are waiting to help me, still using one crutch,  through the stile.  After the stile I took a short cut because I was sure I was slowing them down. Made my way down to the old railway track that used to link Coniston with the network and closed in 1962. Another sorry tale.
