Through a lens darkly

Slipping

Shoes.
They hold you, mould you, pinch and squeeze.
They cushion and lift, change your gait and posture.
They shine, they sparkle, squeaking, creaking and clacking as you walk.
They tell you who to be, they reflect who you want to be.
It's make-believe.

I have more than 50 pairs.

Edit to add: I took this using my friend Ciao's lens - he's very kindly lent it to me! Yay!
