Sleety Showers

4.5C wet with sleety snowy showers. moderate WSW/W/NW/NNW breeze with gusts to 34 mph. Temperature dropped to 2.2C by 3pm.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. I think we got the only blue patch of sky to appear all day. We went round to the harbour, round the old quay, and out along the shore side of the park. We went as far as the cemetery, turned and came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open). We had gone out just after a shower and the next was starting as we came along the road home. No snow was lying other than a few streaks on the slopes of Beinn Ghuilean.
