Snow in Snowdonia

We said goodbye to F’s daughter and son in law as they headed home. They were staying here before we arrived and got almost to the top of Snowdon before the conditions made them turn back. We did not follow their example!

There was snow and hail this morning when we left the hotel and we could hardly see for the swirling whiteness.

We drove to the coast and had a day birdwatching on the Menai Straits.  We saw lots of wading birds including the curlew and redshank which are in extras.

Another bonus was that the sun shone spasmodically and visibility improved. My main photo is of the lovely snowy tops of the mountains at Llanberis.
