Saturday: Silent Wonder

It started snowing yesterday evening and has just about stopped now, in the late afternoon.  At our last measuring (using the scientific method of a broom and a tape measure) we had had 20 inches (50 cm).  

We weren't able to get the car out of the garage, nor would it have been wise too, so we walked into town to have a look.  Public transport wasn't running and we saw quite a few abandoned cars where people had been unable to get any further.

We kept warm with the help of some mulled wine which also kept us warm on the way back. Good job too, since K. threw me into a snowdrift on the way home.....although I will confess that I started it.......
