И was back from a few days in Sofia, and gave me a box of what I carelessly identified as Turkish delight, only to be told that it was Bulgarian delight! I then gave her the laptop I'd sourced for the coding she'll be doing in the coming weeks. Now each of the three of us has an identical laptop, which is very convenient but may lead to some confusion!

Interestingly, the Bulgarian "локум" for this delicacy comes from and the French "Loukoum" for Turkish Delight come from the Arabic word luqma(t). So, for once, maybe this isn't a word that Bulgarian took from French when it was reformed in the early 20th century.
