Whitehaven: birds and boats

Had a day trip to Whitehaven by train, to see my dad. Had a very smooth journey with no delays despite fog, and a little snow over Shap. The sun came out as we ran alongside the Cumbrian coast, from Maryport to Whitehaven. This photo was taken near the start of the C2C cycle path, with the swans and my dad enjoying the sunshine.
Writing this on the train back, and (touch wood!) all the trains are running in time. Much better than the joys of the M6.
