Inspiration

Vintage pattern books are one of my passions. I can’t resist looking at the elegance of the designs, trying to work out construction methods, and wondering what I could adapt for my own use. I have a number of actual patterns too, and though I am a competent sewer, I find the scant instructions challenging. I imagine needlework techniques were far more extensively known in the period of publication.
