Top of Smokey.

Just before lunch Terry suggested we go for a bit of an outing....it was warmish (+6) and sunny.   so we decided to get going right then and there.....we were just about to walk out the door when the dreaded phone rang.....people enquiring about this weekend in the cabin!!!!   So change of plan, we headed down to the Chalet to clean it and get it prepared, with no confirmation that they would be coming, they would call back!!!!   2 hours later, we hit the road, had a wonderful lunch at the Dancing Moose....then onto Ingonish!   This image is from the top of Smokey.....the drive is really quite lovely.

Needless to say they didn't confirm and they didn't show up!!!  oh well the cabin is ready to go!

Unfortunately the road to the beach isn't plowed, so we had to just be satisfied with a walk on the path to the Keltic Lodge which is closed for the season, but the walk along the pathways is lovely!

Home again, and we delighted in the fact that at 6pm there was still some light in the sky!!!!
