Natural patterns

A pine cone and a succulent, very different but comprising the same natural patterns. 

In to Berwick with MrM at lunchtime, primarily to pick up his son, A, from the station, but it meant that I could call in at the Green Shop for some essentials, and nip to the bank too. And there was the inevitable visit to the DIY store.

A is back very unexpectedly early from a trip, and will be staying with us for an unspecified length of time until he works out his next move.
