Penstemon...................

Always put on a wonderful display in the Summer and in the Autumn. Which of course does beg the question, why on earth is one flowering in January!? 
 It has been a cold day, the temperature hasn't risen above 6'C, and as I type this the outside temp has now dropped to 5'C. It has been very windy over the last 24 hours, with occasional heavy showers. So I have not ventured out other than to take this photo. SueJay50 popped in earlier for a cuppa and a piece of cake :-)
