Nuthatch

A cold, clear, crisp winter's day today and far too good to waste.  I drove over to RSPB Middleton Lakes and had a lovely walk around the lake.  There was no point in visiting the hide, today, as an excavator was working right in front of it.  There were some very smart goldeneye on show and a female smew was also visible in the lake near to the bridge over the canal but I have chosen this lovely nuthatch that was enjoying a few seeds.
