The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Monday 28th January 2019)

I've been rather impatiently waiting for the small handful of snowdrops in my front yard to put in an appearance. So far there is no sign of them, but I found these on my way back from town in the Town Gardens this morning. Of course it is possible that these have been transplanted from some hothouse.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
J.J. Cale - Cocaine (recorded 1976)
On Sunday I was listening to Cat Power (Chan Marshall) guesting on 6 Music's The First Time talking about records that held significance for her. Her choices were all interesting but I was disappointed that she chose Eric Clapton's note-for-note cover of the anti-drug song Cocaine over the superior original, written and recorded by JJ Cale on his 1977 album Troubadour, so I though I would redress the balance in some small way.
