Chi-beria

Our twins were born in Chicago March 4.  In January that year I quit a good job as a research assistant at the University of Illinois Medical Center to be a mailman because, with those babies coming, we needed health insurance.  My first week it was minus 27-degrees with a minus 50 wind chill.  I was out in it all day, everyday.  Watching the news today, the polar vortex is back in Chicago.  Buildings will be creaking, pipes will be bursting.  Meanwhile, this year I will be golfing in a tee-shirt in 77-degree, sunny LA weather. Man, time flies.
