Pupil free day or go to grandparents day

The first day at school is pupil free so we have had booked in our diaries for months. It coincided with the demolition of our stairwell and the erection of scaffolding so not a good day to have the grandchildren.

However we are lucky that we do have our family pad by the sea. The boys swam, played football and went to the Flying Fox playground and cafe so they were happy.

We avoided the noise but came home to find the aircon switched off too
