Body Work

I read a lot and generally in the middle of the spectrum. Not trashy but not too worthy either. @saraparetsky is just right. Funny how US private detective stories work but UK ones don't. I'm also inclined to prefer UK police crime novels to US ones. The latter seem to involve too many people being shot and often by the police themselves. Anyway VI Warshawski's based in Chicago, is suitably liberal, enjoys a drink and likes a little culture. My kind of heroine.
