“Sally” in yesterday’s blip of 12 year olds. We met at Girl Scout camp after 6th grade and became obsessed with anything to do with cutting paper, pasting, sculpting and sewing in junior high. She says she sewed some of my childhood dolls’ clothes. She has a better memory for such things. Which is why we talked and laughed for almost 6 hours today until we were plain tired out. and didn’t even get to my big envelope of photos. Better rest up for tomorrow. I enjoyed seeing her little HUD apartment she’s happy about,.... worry about how she is going to manage her health issues,....with no partner now, .... really liked her old Oakland neighborhood.. where we walked ( slowly) to pick up excellent take-out sushi from a tiny hole in the wall. This is her roomy balcony right over the entrance to her building... didn’t get many photos as there was too much else.. ( including putting blip on her desktop so she can look at this!) .. Will try some restaurants in the Jack London Square neighborhood near my hotel tomorrow... which seems empty and not all that interesting but IS on the water with lots of boats nearby, for a morning walk.... And 2 more friends and lots more stories. and now I need a good sleep... up much too early to get the beautiful flight here along all those mountain peaks.
