Whistle

Sometimes the Bus Pass Walkers become strung out - take wrong turnings - or even walk past refreshment stops - having refused R’s kind offer of the use of his megaphone - in the past have had to resort to shouting or ringing them up - to bring them back into line

Have bought myself a whistle - complete with inbuilt compass and temperature gauge - blew it for the first time yesterday - and it certainly does its job - those in front of me stopped!

Now off to whet my whistle - having teatime drinks with friends
