Frost and sunshine

It was very cold, but sunny today, so perfect for a walk. Whilst there has been snow and ice causing disruption and problems on the wrong West side of the Pennines, here in North Yorkshire we had beautiful blue skies and crispy frost.
This shot of the lovely strong light and shadows was taken to the west of Hampsthwaite at the foot of the Nidderdale valley.
As is often the case, I had difficulty choosing between this and today's extra of a splendid old packhorse bridge across the river Nidd near Birstwith.
