Bye bye

Our last day with Gilly and Graham. We had planned a day out, and set off in spite of the showers. We got to Godrevy Beach and donned waterproofs to take Pepper on the shore. There was only a narrow strip, as it was high tide but we wandered along. A sad sight greeted us, a poor dead dolphin.
The rain got heavier but we plodded up to the headland to look down on the seal cove. The tide was so high by now that they were being washed on and off their beach! At least we saw some!
We sploshed back to the car and were so wet that we abandoned our planned lunch and had to go home to change instead!
But I made scones and we had a Cornish cream tea, jam first of course!
Then we played some board games including a last round of Carcassonne at which we are now expert tacticians!
Quite a memorable day!
