Today was the day of the book sorting. Well, perhaps it was more about some of the sorting rather than all of it. We duly emptied the books from the hall bookcase onto the floor and took out the ones that we want to keep; these included some of my rather esoteric cookery books, and these that were to go to the charity shop.
 
I always find it somewhat odd that we always end up with three piles of similar size: the one which gets put back on the book case, the one that goes to the charity shop, and the remainder which stays in a heap on the floor until we can figure out what to do with it. Of course, each heap is about the same size as the original one.
 
The Blip is a cartoon from the politically incorrect “Wildlife” from the “Bad Taste Series” by Hugh Silvey and Wally Jex, price 75p (c1982) which, being newly rescued, now resides on my bedside table.
