Everyday Wonder

I will never take Japanese trains for granted. They are amazing, and this award winning Hanshin train is one of my favourites. Just one of many incredible things which demonstrate the stunning reliability of Japanese trains is what I witnessed with three different men on my carriage this morning. People set the alarms on their mobile phones to ring at the time the train is due to arrive at their station so that they can have a sleep without fear of missing their stop. Sure enough, just like every morning, three mobile phone alarms rang seconds before the train glided to a stop.

I love Japan!
