Stuff and Nonsense

Day #11 Akaroa

Today we have been in Akoroa and had a lovely day. In the morning we took a nature cruise around the bay and managed to see Dolphins, seals, little blue penguins and even a Royal Albatross.
At lunchtime we met up with blipmate Jocelyn (JMK) who was kind enough to take us to a lovely little brasserie at the quieter end of town and then we went back to her place to see if we could see some birds, but they were not playing ball. It was too hot we reckon - the mercury was showing 32 degrees which is WAY to hot for us really and certainly too hot for the birds it seems.
Jocelyn then took us for a drive along the mountain roads where we saw some spectacular scenery. How wonderful it is to have people all around the globe that you can meet up with when you are travelling - Blipfoto certainly is a wonderful concept.
We were dropped off at the lighthouse Huge thanks to Jocelyn for showing us around. I'm sure we wouldn't have had such a great time if it wasn't for you.

Some extra shots of some of the wildlife we saw on our cruise.
