The Colours of Summer....

This morning Maisie and I walked paths alongside the Taylor River. The RSA Memorial Olive Grove has a good crop of young olives on the trees. We last walked this way over three weeks ago when the grasses and plants along the River were fresh looking and green. This section of the river is now dry, the surface water flow has dropped into the shingles of the river bed. Now, due to lack of rain and the onset of the current Heatwave the grasses have changed to shades of gold. Tonight the temperature has dropped with the arrival of a southerly wind change.
