Table Mountain Hike

We were blessed to have perfect weather early this morning when we rode the cable car up to the spectacular table mountain.

Table Mountain, is home to the richest, yet smallest floral kingdom on earth. I enjoyed taking many photos of the different Flora and birds at the top. The Mountain was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2011.

Flanked by Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, Table Mountain makes up the northern end of the Cape Fold Mountain range. It’s hard to imagine, but the mountain’s distinctive flat top – a three-kilometre level plateau – was once the bottom of a valley! I particularly loved this photo of David sitting on a rock with the gorgeous views behind him.

After enjoying the spectacular views that we had on top of table Mountain, we begin our dissent and visited several wineries in the afternoon. This was our last day in Cape Town before we leave for Safari.
