The Next Chapter!

Privy Counsel!

Another beautiful day...still no snow though! Temperatures must have dropped very low overnight as the irrigation pond was frozen this morning.

Hubby volunteered to take me out this afternoon so we went down to Cove harbour which is just a few miles south of us. It was very windy and probably not the best time of day to be there. (Top right...a silly hubby posing beside the harbour wall). From there we headed for St Helens Church (bottom left)...a ruin at Old Cambus. As some of my ancestors hailed from this area it’s possible they were buried here.

There was barbed wire fence surrounding most of the kirkyard and as we walked around the perimeter we came across today’s silliest find! I’m not too sure whether it’s someones idea of a joke but it did seem to be a working loo...it was rather open to the elements though and you’d have to be pretty silly (or desperate) to drop yer breeks in this weather. The views were quite bonny but it was lacking somewhat in privacy!!!

As we left the house hubby spotted a pair of kestrels up the track, one hung around long enough for me to retrieve the camera from the back of the truck and take a few snaps. Hopefully we’ll see them again.

Thanks to admirer for hosting.
