Rambla Rambler

It wasn't raining the day we visited Valencia - sunny but cool- the sheen on the path comes from the shiny stone itself. This was shot from one of the old bridges that used to cross the Turia/Guadalaviar river. The river was diverted in the late 60s as a flood prevention measure. Now the old river bed is covered in paths, football pitches and sitting areas - very nice it is too as is the city itself.
