Frozen

Typically, at 7am it was cold enough for the bubbles to freeze well, but not light enough to photograph. 40 minutes later, the temperature had risen a little which meant that they tended to glaze over rather than create the sought after ferny patterns.

I had two bubble mixes - both shop bought.  One gave me nice 'sturdy' bubbles which held well, but just glazed over in the 'warmer' temperature.  The other mix popped on contact with virtually everything, until I added some glycerine to it.  This was the only 'patterned' shot that I got and unusually it looks better in colour than in black and white.

I will try again  if the conditions are right, but I don't think there it will be cold enough here for quite a while.  :(
