Tears for Fears, Liverpool

Christmas 2017, I was gifted Tears for Fears tickets plus 3 nights in Liverpool for April. Roland Orzabal was unwell so the tour was postponed until today.

We nearly didn't go because of the snow and distance but in the end booked a hotel and went.

We were up very early to take our time to get the car up the road. Slowly, slowly we managed to get onto the Bath Rd and on our way.

It was hard going until we got past Bristol but the winter wonderland was stunning.

A fairly easy drive because there were so few other cars on the roads. Once past Gloucester, there was hardly any snow at all.

I finally got my Birthday dinner (Stuffed sweet potato - absolutely delicious) and then we watched England beat Ireland at Rugby. A ten minute walk from the hotel to the arena and we were soon enjoying Alison Moyet.

Our seats were almost as far as it was possible from the stage. The performance was not also on big screens (as is the norm nowadays) but I enjoyed every single moment and would go again in a heart beat!

It was 1982 all over again! (And, in those days, I only had to drive up to Bath to see them!!)
