Meet Yim

Yim is a seven year old Clouded Leopard whose home is at the *Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, FL.  He weighs 49 lbs. and is husband to Malee and apparently has several kids.  Malee and Tim are being separated right now because she is in heat and apparently this is an off year for the zoo to allow  breeding.  

The enclosure had vertical bars that spanned approximately 2" which made it tough to get a clear shot.  Yim was apparently interested in me or my camera when I took this photo.  Not sure how I got a clear shot but am happy that this turned out.  

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Clouded Leopard Species Survival Plan (SSP) designed to support the conservation of select wildlife at risk of extinction. The Zoo’s parents, Yim (male) and Malee (female), were matched by the SSP and have lived together at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo since six months of age (2011)
