Sweet pickings

The thermometer in my car said 35 degrees coming home today. Fortunately I had a wound check early afternoon and I missed the fire that held up traffic south of Christchurch.

Warm days and nights are bringing my tomatoes on. Here are today's ones I picked this evening.

Overall the wound looks good. I have a different bandage for a day and tomorrow evening I'll be changing the dressing.

I've been up on it more today and it's niggly now. That's all to be expected. Tomorrow I can try a gentle walk and see how that goes.

Today's gratitude: For new growth on many of my new plants. Despite the heat they're settling in.
