The Edge of the Wold

Waving

Here's one of the two little wood mice which is taking advantage of the sunflower seeds that the birds throw out of the feeder above while they delve for something more to their taste. This one snatches a seed and retreats to the relative safety of the overhanging plant pot. I do fear for the mice as there are several cats that prowl through the garden opportunistically. That's the dilemma of feeding garden birds.

It was a busy day. The ageing Jazz had its annual service and passed its MOT, though inevitably paying the bill did involve some eye watering. Still, it's good for another year, and not bad value at that. While I waited, I had a walk with Mr W over Scout Scar which was still covered in snow and ice. Then it was back home to pack the car and then set off for BW for the weekend, the last part through falling snow and on slippery roads. We arrived just in time to watch Wales play France, a game of two very different halves, with the best result the Welsh genes could have hoped for.
