Emmanuel's Pond In The Paddock.

Ducks are very much part of the college. Although there are some exotic species, they are outnumbered by the mallards. They breed around the pond and on a centre small island. You can see some of the nesting boxes. None are culled or eaten except by the herons if they catch the ducklings or fish, also in the pond. A pair of kingfishers sometimes visit, but I haven't seen them, although I'm often in the grounds as it's by my bus stop. No swans visit as there is not room for them to land or take off..
