We were smart to find a dry picnic bench to sit on to stretch them over our boots without falling over or getting boing’ed. Good thing we did, since we ran into several long, smoothe glassy ice patches.

Everyone we passed was smiling and cheerful. No wonder! Sunshine, 53F, and no injuries for CC or me. Thank goodness.
