Creaking

My office is next to the lifts, and every time one of the lift doord opens it let out a metallic shriek which defeated my wooden door and noise-cancelling headphones! Work took me several times to И's office, and I passed this window twice each time. It's the lovely southwest view of the Braid Hills that I'll have from my office when I move. I'm looking forward to this, as well as escaping the noise of the lifts and foyer I've put up with for 25 years!
